Fort Kochi is the historic harbour quarter of Kochi, about 45 km from Chackos Homestay in Kaduthuruthy. It is one of Kerala’s most photographed places — Chinese fishing nets along the shore, colour-washed streets, cafés, spice shops, and a soft sunset over the water.
Guests come for a half-day or full-day walk: stop at the fishing nets, wander Jew Town and the old lanes, visit St. Francis Church or Santa Cruz Basilica, then watch the light change on the harbour in the evening. The pace is slow and ideal for photos. Combine it with Ernakulam (Marine Drive) if you want a longer city day.
