1 Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: From 2:00 PM

Check-out: By 11:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out may be possible subject to availability and prior approval by the host.

Guests are requested to inform the host in advance if their arrival time is significantly different from the booking details.

2 Host-Occupied Homestay

Chackos Homestay is a host-occupied homestay. The host resides on the property and is available to assist guests during their stay.

Guests are expected to respect the privacy, property, and peaceful environment of the host and other occupants.

3 Guest Access

Guests may use the following areas associated with their booking:

• The booked guest room
• Visiting room
• Dining room
• Living room
• Kitchen, subject to the host's instructions

Private rooms and other areas designated as private are strictly off-limits to guests.

4 Cleanliness and Care of Property

Chackos Homestay is a well-maintained property. Guests are expected to keep the accommodation and shared areas clean and in good condition.

Guests must take reasonable care to prevent damage, loss, or misuse of:

• Furniture and fittings
• Electrical appliances
• Kitchen equipment
• Bathroom facilities
• Bedding and linen
• Other property belonging to Chackos Homestay

Any damage, breakage, loss, or excessive cleaning caused by a guest may result in the guest being responsible for the reasonable cost of repair, replacement, or additional cleaning.

5 Guest Responsibility for Damage or Loss

The guest who makes the booking is responsible for the conduct of themselves and members of their party.

If any property belonging to Chackos Homestay is damaged, broken, lost, or misused during the stay due to the guest's actions or negligence, the guest may be required to compensate the host for the resulting reasonable costs.

6 Children and Their Safety

Children are welcome at Chackos Homestay, subject to the accommodation's suitability.

Parents, guardians, or other accompanying adults are fully responsible for the supervision, behaviour, and safety of children in their care throughout their stay.

The host and Chackos Homestay shall not be responsible for accidents or injuries arising from inadequate supervision of children, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

7 No Pets or Animals

Pets and animals are not permitted at Chackos Homestay unless specifically authorised by the host in advance.

8 No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the homestay or guest rooms.

Guests must comply with any designated smoking-area requirements communicated by the host.

9 Alcohol and Intoxicating Substances

Excessive consumption of alcohol that causes disturbance, unsafe behaviour, property damage, or inconvenience to the host or others is not permitted.

The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs or other substances prohibited by Indian law is strictly prohibited.

10 Prohibited and Illegal Activities

Guests must not use the property for any illegal, unlawful, or prohibited activity.

Any activity that violates applicable Indian laws or regulations is strictly prohibited.

If illegal activity occurs at or in connection with the property, the matter may be reported to the appropriate authorities and will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Indian law.

Chackos Homestay and the host shall not be responsible for illegal activities carried out by guests or their visitors.

11 Quiet Hours

To maintain a peaceful environment for everyone:

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM onwards.

Loud conversations, loud music, parties, or any other excessive noise after 11:00 PM are not permitted.

Guests are expected to respect the host, neighbours, and other occupants of the property.

12 Personal Belongings and Valuables

Guests are solely responsible for their personal belongings, including:

• Cash and valuables
• Passports and other identity documents
• Electronic devices
• Jewellery
• Travel documents
• Luggage and other personal items

Guests are advised to take appropriate care of their belongings during their stay.

Chackos Homestay shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

13 Visitors

Visitors who are not included in the original reservation should only enter the property with the prior permission of the host.

Guests are responsible for ensuring that their visitors comply with these Terms & Conditions and applicable laws.

14 Respect for the Property and Host

Guests are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly throughout their stay.

Any behaviour that causes significant disturbance, threatens the safety of others, damages property, or seriously breaches these Terms & Conditions may result in the guest being asked to leave the property, subject to applicable law and the booking terms.

15 Compliance with Indian Law

All guests must comply with applicable laws and regulations of India and the State of Kerala during their stay.

Any dispute, unlawful activity, or legal matter arising in connection with the stay shall be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws of India.

16 Acceptance of Terms

By completing a booking or checking in at Chackos Homestay, the guest confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Chackos Homestay reserves the right to reasonably update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The applicable terms will be those in effect at the time of the guest's booking, unless otherwise required by law.
